"St Lucy’s was established as a special school for Catholic children, but no student will be denied a place on religious or socio-economic grounds provided that the Catholic ethos of the school is accepted and respected." St Lucy's Enrolment Policy
Please note: applications for enrolment in the 2013 Start Right program close on May 31st.
St Lucy’s offers three main intake points for enrolment. Vacancies may arise elsewhere through family relocation or for other reasons.
- First intake is for school beginners through the Start Right program.
- Second intake is for the Primary program. Eligibility is for children 6 years and older whose learning needs are best met by a cooperative learning environment in small classes.
- Third intake is for the Aim High program. A program preparing children for high school either from mainstream schools or transfer from St Lucy’s Primary classes.
If you wish to apply for a place for your child, go to how to enrol.
Eligibility
To be accepted at St Lucy’s, a child must meet Commonwealth Guidelines for the funding of students with disabilities as administered by the Catholic Education Commission. These guidelines recognise the following caterogies of disability: cognitive, language, sensory (vision, hearing), emotional and autism.
To assist parents seeking enrolment, St Lucy's has developed an outline of eligible criteria.
